Accessibility Statement

Naveh Home is committed to being usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our guide.

Our approach

Digital accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time achievement. We design and test with WCAG 2.1 AA in mind on a continuing basis, and we keep working to identify and close gaps as we find them. Below are the specific gaps we're aware of today, along with the alternative way to get the same information or complete the same task in the meantime.

Known limitations

Energy usage chart. The line chart on the Energy page doesn't have a text equivalent for screen reader users. The same bill data is also listed as text elsewhere on the page, which is a full substitute for the chart's information.
AI bill scanning. When you scan a photo or PDF of a utility bill, the numbers are read by an AI service and can occasionally be misread. We recommend checking the figures against the original document. Manual entry and CSV import are available if scanning isn't a good fit for you.
Uploaded documents. Files you upload — like bills or receipts — are your own, and we can't guarantee they're themselves accessible (for example, a scanned PDF from a utility company that has no text layer).
Find a Pro. This feature links out to Angi and Thumbtack, which are not our products, and we can't guarantee their accessibility. You can also save a contractor's information and call them directly from within the app instead.
Reduced motion. Panels and sheets use a short slide or fade animation when they open. We don't yet honor your system's "reduce motion" setting for these — there's no flashing content, but the animation doesn't turn off when that preference is set. We're working on this.
Import and export. These features use your browser's own file and confirmation dialogs, so your experience there depends on your browser and device rather than on Naveh Home directly.
Language. Naveh Home is only available in English today, with no right-to-left layout support.
Theme. Naveh Home currently offers a light theme only. Your system's contrast and zoom settings still work as expected within it.

We're not claiming full conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA — the list above reflects what we currently know isn't fully there yet. If you run into something not listed here, or something on this list affects you in a way we haven't accounted for, we want to hear about it.
